December

I know it's March, in fact, half way through March, but here is what our family was up to in December...

Kenidee was so excited to go see Santa. When we got to the mall, she said, "Mom, this is not the North Pole!" Kailee on the other hand had a different opinion of Santa...

Of course December focuses mostly on Christmas, but we love it and we had a lot of fun this year. One night we went up to Temple Square, but it was way too cold, so we didn't take any pictures and after a quick walk through we came home. We had the opportunity this year to help a family in my Grandma's ward for Christmas, and it was so fun to buy gifts for them and to teach Kenidee about helping others and sharing the love of Christ with others. Our own Christmas was fabulous. Shadd's dad was able to spend the week with us, and we are so grateful for the time he had to be with the girls. Now onto the pictures...

I was scheduled to work Christmas Eve and Christmas, but one of the other nurses was an angel and worked Christmas for me. So, when I got home from work Christmas morning we woke the girls up to open presents before church. Santa was very good to leave a letter for the girls to see.

The girls were in awe with all the stuff they found!

The best present was the "snake" Kenidee made for Shadd out of the magnets he already owned. One day she made it and asked me to wrap it up so she could give it to Daddy for Christmas. He loved it!

The one thing Kenidee told Santa she wanted was Dora

Kailee loved her new books

Sadly, In my tired state I didn't get a picture of the girls in their Christmas dresses. But, we went to church and enjoyed a beautiful program. That afternoon we went to my parents for dinner, family, and more presents. Unfortunately, the girls started throwing up, and the stomach flu worked its way through our entire family for the next week :)

The Girls love helping me cook, so we all had our aprons on ready to bake something delicious!
